Good news, folks! Our favourite Royal couple the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and Prince William have a boy. The new Royal heir was delivered at 4:24 pm yesterday at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington. He weighs 8lb 6oz.
Prince William stated that he and his wife “could not be happier”. They stayed in the hospital last night and will probably be released today.
The news for the newborn in the Royal family has been displayed on an easel in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace.
The medical team that delivered the baby was led by the Queen’s gynaecologist Marcus Setchell, who announced the news on a personally signed by him bulletin. It was taken from St Mary’s hospital by a royal aide under police escort. You can see the bulletin, which says “Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 4.24pm today. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”, beneath.
According to the tradition William and Kate’s son will be the third in line heir for the throne.
Long live their Royal Highnesses!
